La pregunta flota en el aire y muchas personas, sinceramente, creen que en su respuesta está la clave del avance o el freno a la aplicación del Título III del abominable engendro que nació del maridaje entre Richard Helms y Dan Burton.
En 1996, el presidente Clinton, el maníaco sexual que sobaba su bragueta cuando veía a una becaria en la Casa Blanca, estampó su firma en la mencionada ley, mas tuvo la precaución de prorrogar, religiosamente cada seis meses, la aplicación del susodicho titulo, lo que le sirvió de ejemplo a sus sucesores Bush (hijo) y Obama para hacer lo mismo, durante sus 16 años de mandato.
Parecía que las amenazas de la Unión Europea de emplazar a EEUU en los tribunales de la Organización Mundial del Comercio había logrado el efecto de parar «la última vuelta a la tuerca», hasta que llegó al poder @realDonaldTrump.
En Cuba tenemos una frase: «al último loco no hay quien lo pare» y #CerdoTrump es ese tipo.
Como si no fueran suficientes su xenofobia, su misoginia, su arrogancia, su ignorancia y desprecio por las normas políticas, diplomáticas y de convivencia, este tipo suma a todas esas «virtudes» su obsesión patológica por la grandeza, por lograr algo que no haya logrado ninguno de los que le antecedieron y la decisión de poner en vigor el Título III fue su «jugada maestra» o eso es lo que piensa el muy imbécil.
Entonces surgió la pregunta: ¿Qué hará la vieja Europa? Y mi respuesta es que Europa, léase la Unión Europea, no hará nada o hará muy poco, porque está vieja, desgastada por la crisis económica y el temor de que el Brexit sea solo el inicio; un detalle: algún día por Wikileads o cualquier otra filtración conoceremos que la salida de Inglaterra de la Unión fue el resultado de una operación de los servicios de inteligencia de EEU, pero eso será en otro momento.
Hoy ya se conoce que Federica Modeglini amenazó a EEUU con ir a la OMC, pero ello será para proteger los intereses de la UE, no los de Cuba.
Al imbécil de la Casa Blanca eso poco le importa, ya que el tipo es, además, ciego y sordo.
Por todo ello y para completar mi respuesta, les digo: Europa no va a hacer nada, somos nosotros los que tenemos que actuar, empezando por hacer conciencia de que estamos frente a un enemigo poderoso, envalentonado y sin frenos que nos ataca y, en consecuencia, hemos de cerrar filas, mantener la unidad monolítica que nos permitió llegar hasta aquí y dedicar nuestro mejor esfuerzo a fortalecer la economía y la defensa del país.
Al propio tiempo, debemos apoyar a nuestros hermanos venezolanos y nicaragüenses, porque el destino paz de este hemisferio depende de la capacidad de supervivencia de Venezuela, Nicaragua y Cuba.
¿Recuerdan que hace poco más de un año, cuando la retórica del imbécil del Norte lo llevó a amenazar a la República Popular Democrática de Corea con borrarla de la faz de la tierra, Kim Jong-Un le repondió: nuestros cohetes llegan a EEUU e hizo un par de lanzamientos de prueba…, qué rápido cambiaron «la melodía y el tono» de las amenazas?
Bueno, nosotros no poseemos ese tipo de armas, pero sí el coraje y la determinación para luchar y vencer.
